Saturday 18th September was spent mostly in awe of the beautiful architecture and design in central London. I caught the train at 06.20, arrived 2.5 hours later and returned home at 22.45.
It was the first day of the London Design Festival, celebrating design over different districts in the city. What an amazing day wandering around the city with some other OCA students, discussing design and life in general with like minded people, friends for life!
The collection at the V&A was overwhelming, I particularly enjoyed the Buddhism section and the art and design from the Middle East, so many wonderful patterns and colour.
We walked miles, 22,165 steps in total, ate delicious food – Spanish tapas and Thai, sampled some house wines and soaked up the city atmosphere. Sunday was spent mostly sleeping!! A truly magical day and I am now feeling motivated and inspired to move forward with my coursework.
