I think that multidisciplinary practice is when a designer specialises in more than one area of Interior Design.
I have created a mind-map based on the list of niches I made in the previous exercise, I have connected lots of different Interior Design fields with others showing multidisciplinary design.

Multidisciplinary practice in Interior Design means that based on the niche in question, you can incorporate lots of design practices. This way the overall design will be stronger and ultimately a better design as it can be approached from several different specialised areas rather than being limited to one or two.
On reflection of this exercise, it has also shown me that there are so many interesting and exciting niches within Interior Design to explore, that you don’t just need to specialise in one area. It has also shown me that with ideas from other people and their knowledge with their specialised areas of Interior Design it would help when involved in an Interior Design project, your design could be so much better with the help of others.
